Citadel Ruin
General View of the Citadel Ruin This pueblo ruin stands guard like a fortress atop a small hill of volcanic rock. It once included fifty or so rooms on multiple levels. A single passage on the south side was the only entrance into the complex, suggesting a concern with security. Kayenta Anasazi influenced Sinagua Indians constructed the pueblo sometime during the 12th century. Photograph taken in 1991 by Howard J. Partridge.
