John Hudson Thomas was the architect of this house and its two neighbors down the street, all built in 1911.  The massing and detailing in each reflect his affinity for C. R. Mackintosh and the Viennese Secessionists at the time, although it comes off most strongly in this design.  Photograph taken in 1999 by Howard J. Partridge.
