John Hudson Thomas was the architect of this highly stylized composition, built in 1911.  The Viennese Secessionists clearly influenced the design, which is a rare example of rather high-brow European Art Nouveau architecture in America.  Photograph taken in 2000 by Howard J. Partridge.
