"God made the cat in order to give man the pleasure of caressing the tiger."
- Anonymous quote found on the Internet. |
For those of you who enjoy a little musical accompaniment, press the "play" button below to begin "Route 66", a swinging jazz standard composed by Robert Troup. It embodies Zip's free-roaming spirit far better than more obvious musical tie-ins such as: "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah", "Eye of the Tiger", and "Tiger Rag". The musician behind this loosely-based, improvisational version remains unknown. |
