Oregon State Capitol in Salem, Oregon

In 1936, Frank Henry Schwarz painted this wall mural titled "Bringing the News to Salem, March 17, 1859". It refers to Oregon's admission a month earlier as a member state of the United States of America.  Photo taken in June of 2005 by Bill Hazzard, who has generously agreed to its duplication on the Cupola site.
