Colorado State Capitol Building (page 6 of 6)
Scene from the "History of Water" Mural Located in the capitol building's first floor rotunda is a group of Art Deco styled wall murals that date from 1940. They provide an artistic account of water use from a Coloradan perspective. The murals are the work of artist Alan True, and the accompanying words are those of poet Thomas Hornsby Ferril. Photographer Bill Hazzard captured this view of the last panel in the series in October of 2005. He has kindly granted permission to publish it on the Cupola website.
