California State Capitol Building (interior page 8 of 8)
Governor Edmund Gerald "Jerry" Brown Jr. Portrait Artist Don Bachardy painted this likeness of Jerry Brown in 1984. Showing a Neo-Expressionist influence, the work is the most modern portrait to appear in the gallery of California governors to date. Certainly it is the most arty of the lot. It hangs, along with those of more recent governors, near the top of grand stair on the third floor. Photograph by Howard J. Partridge taken in April, 2006.
